Your safety is our highest priority. Our spa staff regularly attend first aid courses and emergency response training. The regulations listed here are intended to ensure your health and wellbeing throughout your visit.

Blue Lagoon Ltd. is an Icelandic company which runs the Blue Lagoon, the Retreat at Blue Lagoon Iceland and Silica Hotel. Blue Lagoon Ltd. disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness, or changes in schedule caused by Force Majeure events, such as weather, strikes, natural disasters, or any other irregularity outside the company's control. All such losses and expenses are the personal liability of the guest.

We advise all our guests to have valid travel insurance. This insurance should be obtainable in your country of residence.

Guests are required to shower without a swimsuit before entering the lagoon. This is an Icelandic tradition that ensures the water remains clean and pure. Changing rooms are equipped with private stalls for those who prefer them.

Children under the age of 2 are not permitted in the Blue Lagoon. Children ages 2-8 must wear floatation devices (provided free of charge) and be accompanied by a guardian at all times. The minimum age for The Retreat Spa is 12 years.
